Hello all,


I am thinking of buying a used car and would like to get the opinion of an expert, does anybody know any reliable dealers who would provide this service and the approx cost?

Whereabouts do you live/are you looking at cars?
Are you looking for someone to carryout an independent vehicle inspection or looking for a main dealer to take a vehicle to for inspection?
The AA carries out inspections as do other motoring organizations, however having personally observed an AA inspection being done in my workshop I was not very impressed, to say the least.
What vehicle are you looking at/ considering?

As Carmedic says the AA checks aren't very good, so I wouldn't get one either.

As for buying a car, well in the UK the second hand dealers are nearly in tears with the dropping price of stock they have on their fourcourt.

It realy is a buyers market and I'm 99% sure that most garages will give you the car at less than what they paid for it just to stop losing any more money.

So give them some hassle when negotiating.
